When I first posted the picture of my bride, Barbara, it saddened me to see her here, of all places. But seeing her at the time the picture was taken ten years ago, I see her when she was a healthier, more supple woman. When she died, she weighed slightly over 80 pounds, a mere skeleton of herself. I need to remember her from the good times, and not the way she was on June 18th.

Looking at he photos of your loving spouses helps me to relate more to your loss and to my own. My God, these were people who we are missing so very much, and they all look so wonderful in life. So, as Debbie says, post your "brides & grooms" and allow us to grieve their passing with you.......be well, everyone....Joe..:-)

Debbie you helped me learn how to upload pictures to DS today as I was determined to participate in the tribute. Not particularly the best photo as he was extremely camera shy!

This one was taken three years ago at my birthday dinner...he was kidding around with the grandchildren who could not wait to cut the two cakes!!

Thanks for giving me that little nudge today. He is greatly missed by many and will always be in my heart. He died nine months ago this week. So this picture taken in 09/09 is rather appropriate.

Great idea! This is a picture of my husband, Denny, at one of our son's wedding reception. He is talking with our Granddaughter, Clara. I love this picture because whenever anyone stopped to talk to him, he stopped and listened. Clara had a story to tell Papa so he stopped to hear the story. I will always be in awe of how strong he was, but how gentle he was at the same time. Thanks for this chance to relive and share precious memories.

That's why I keep the fleur de lis. It was a precious symbol for Scott too. He had it tattooed on his arm. My friends on here can see our pictures.

I know it can't be just me, but enjoying these pictures is oh, so therapeutic. Just look at 'em. They are all so "alive", caught in the act of being themselves. From Tom cooking a lobster, (yum yum), to Denny kneeling to listen attentively to a child, to Rudy loving on his dog and Frank communing in nature, these people are as real as you or I. And they will always live on in our hearts.

Debbie...thanks for getting everyone together to do this. This is so cool. We all need to be proud of what we have and what means most to us. peace..kaaren
