I will put this in my journal, but wanted to share with you all. Like all of you my world was blown apart when we lost Ric last May. I felt like someone had picked me up and catapulted me into another world. Slowly i've learnt to sit up, to crawl and now to walk. Apart from our adorable little boy, not only did i lose my soulmate, my best friend, my love, the ONE i could trust, I lost everything that day - our career, where we lived, friends ( so called friends), the closeness with some family members, everything. Moving to a new area it has taken time to make new friends, to build relationships. I've been out with a new girl friend twice now just for a chat and a drink, the first time Rics song came on in the bar, that was played at his funeral - You Raise Me Up; the second time just yesterday was "Footsteps in the Sand" - a song I've listened to a lot when I've been remembering Ric.
I feel it's his way of showing me that he is proud and approves of how I am slowly rebuilding my shattered world and each day finding the strength to go on.
