Just wanted to share..yesterday on the one year anniversary the agency I work for rang me about 4ish to tell me that they had been thinking of me, and hoped I was ok, and that I am doing a fantastic job at the school I'm currently placed at ( even though I can't stand the woman I work with - that's another story!) and that they will be paying me even though I was off work to mark the one year. She also told me that they will find me a TA position in September after my contract ends with the school I am at now. I felt elated, after leaving behind a company called Whitbread that both Ric and I worked for, for 17 years, after they treated us so badly after Ric died; it restores my faith in humanity, and reinforces the fact there is a world out there and you shouldn't allow employers to treat you so badly. My advice to anyone who's unsure of making a change in jobs, which many widowed people unfortunately do have to do, is go for it - don't be afraid, you deserve the best!
