A Letter to My Deceased Husband

Hi Honey,


It's been a year now since you left my arms and slipped into heaven and the arms of Jesus. I know I'm supposed to go on but I miss you so much. I miss your smile. I miss the twinkle in your eye. I miss your strong arms that held me tight. I miss your creativity. I miss your talent. I miss you ability to entertain. I miss your music. I miss the way you made me laugh. I miss the way you challenged me to be better. I miss our long walks and long talks. I miss how you took care of me. I miss how you always had my back. But most of all I miss your unconditional love and having someone to navigate life with. I know your in a much better place now. But I pray that some time between sitting at the feet of Jesus, exploring the universe, and decorating your mansion you think of me. I also pray that when I slip the bonds of this earth and walk through the gates of heaven you're there to great me with a smile, a twinkle in your eye, and a big hug.

Sandy, that is so beautiful. Thank you for putting it into words. My late husband was also a very creative man and how I miss his music he played every day.

I hope the unconditional and beautiful love you shared with your husband brings you some peace as you pass this one year mark. It's such a difficult time and you may find yourself feeling the loss even deeper for the moment. I am confident that your husband thinks of you and watches over you. God Bless

Sandy, these words from your heart are so beautiful. Your letter reminds me that not a one of us could ask for anything more than to know our spouse and other loved ones are now with Jesus. And I can well imagine my Juani spending eternity decorating her mansion up in heaven when she is not teaching the other saints :) And she is there with her dear father and mother, and all the other saints we knew before they departed. Whenever the "why" question surfaces, we all need to remember where our loved ones are. Lord is not yet finished with us is all. And in my heart I know that Lord has good plans ahead for me and all those that belong to Him. While my heart breaks being without Juani, I know she is where we all want to end up to spend eternity. What more could I ask for the one I love? This perspective is a continuing comfort to me. I'm still broken, still struggling, but happy to know she finished her race. It was time for her to go home. Me, I'm still a work in progress :) Scott
