I signed up for a "counselor" from church. She has been a widow for 11 years and meets with me once per week at my house. She brought me the book, Winter Grief, Summer Grace. I thought I would share some with you.
"Someone who has been a part of your days on earth no longer walks the earth with you. Life is not the same. And it hurts.
Autumn- the presence of that absence is everywhere.
Winter- can be the cruelest time if the year.
Spring-grief melts away like snow in May, as if there were no such cold thing.
Summer- you have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. I walk before The Lord in the land of the living. Psalm 116:8-9.
I have learned that as I release my hold, something will always remain, that as I bid farewell, someone will always abide. I have learned that love does not end- not even with death. It continues to express itself in ways ever new. "
I've only written snippets. This is a very good book and a short read. But, something that can be returned to over and over. To be reminded that the pain is only for a season. Not a year, but for changes that occur in us as a result of the loss and the Hope we have.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
