There is nothing sweeter than a childs hug to warm your heart and bring you joy in that moment of embrace. Her name is Emily and she will be 3 years old in December. She was born one month after my husband died. While Emilys parents experienced the greatest joys during that time, conversely, I experienced the greatest pain and the saddest days of my life. Somehow Emily developed a connection with me in the few, short visits that I had with her this year. It was odd because I usually do not have that instant bonding effect with kids. She makes me smile and feel happy whenever I see her. She always runs up to greet me (without any coaching from her parents) and gives me the biggest hugs with her cute, little arms. She is my new angel. Sometimes you have to find those little things in life that will bring you joy even if its only for just a brief moment.
