I just want to BE with him, to share and hold him. To be someone's wife again, to be someone's someone again!!!
Nancy, I totally get what you're saying.........I was so special to Morey and he to me. Now, no one is in love with me! No one is my very dearest friend anymore. No one love me like he loved me!!!!

Your words so resonate with me. Your right about being married longer than your Maiden name & sometimes longer than people live.
When I start to think about the future, it brings me to tears because my future was with Larry ..... For me normal isn't even a word anymore..
Hang in there... JoAnn
I thought we'd go to sleep when we were both in our 90's and just drift off to death together. I NEVER wanted to be left here to carry on without him-NEVER!
When you're feeling your loneliest remember you really NOT alone, there are lot's of us who are feeling just the way you are and we share in your pain.
Roz
I understand totally all your feelings of loneliness, shutting off friends, same here, but camping and with someone else's family would never be the same as it was with your husband. You would only be thinking of him and wishing to be only with him. Hope your spirits lift soon and have fun and happy days and laughter if you can to help you.
Hugs and sunflowers. Nanette
It's been 15 months since I lost my husband but I've been the lost one. 40 years married and now no one with the same memories I have and no future that we will have together.
Thanks for sharing these thoughts. My husband was the first of our friends to pass away so I don't have friends who really understand what I'm going through.
Year 1 I didn't recognize
Year 2 I tried to fantasize
Year 3 I confronted a future
Year 4 I'm beginning to recognize
Hugs,
Jean
