Garry, I think it could be from everything you are going through. I find that when I cry I end up with a huge headache. Have you checked your blood pressure? That can definately give you a headdache if it's running high! Oh the stress of this grief journey is almost too much to bare isn't it? Make sure to hydrate yourself also. Garry, in addition to what Michelle already has said, some other possibilities could be dehydration from crying, so be sure you're drinking lots and lots of water. And crying alot can do a number on our sinus cavities, so you could be experiencing sinus headaches. Another could just be just lack of sleep. Do try your best to get sleep. Another could just be the stress of it all. Grieving is one of the most difficult mental experiences you will ever go through, and it could be your brain is just plum tired. Most likely, it's all of the above. Yeah, I know, this grief sucks. ~~ Scottie

Garry: I too have had headaches since my husband passed unexpectedly five weeks ago today. I think all of the posts are correct....I believe it is part of the grief process, part of being dead and dirt tired, part of the stress, etc. Please be healthy to yourself and take care of yourself.

I get migraines.. if they are in the back usually means tension, within your neck, possibly sleeping in funny postions. I get migraines usually in the top, or very front. if they dont get better, I'd suggest making a doctor's appt and see if it may just be all of the above. much love and hugs carla

I have had migraines all my life, like cgrff back is usually tension and sides often migraine. But if you have not been diagnosed w/any type of chronic h/a I would get it checked out. headaches can be a sign of something serious or may just be a sign of the erstress of you grief. After my father died almost 2/12 year ago I had a migraine that lasted over two weeks w/out let up once I get back to my normal routine. With my husbands death 10 months ago, I have had almost daily migraines since the true rush of everything was over. But again I"ve had migraines since I was a young child so I knew what was happening.
