6 Month Anniversart

The 6 month anniversary of my husbands death is next week. Typically the 30th has been a rough day, but this month I am struggling more, I think about next week and the panic, and fear set back in. I am having flashbacks to that day, remembering every moment. Is it because it is the 6 month anniversary that I am struggling more?

I have not made it to 6 mos yet. But I relive everything about that horrible day too. My husband of 23 years was killed in an accident at work. I hear it gets easier to deal with but takes a while. We will get through this. You have a whole group of people that are here for you.

Next week is also six months for me. I have been having extreme anxiety over trivial things for the past few days... maybe it's "normal".

Yes, six months is a very tough time. Shock wearing off, reality setting in.
Lots of paper work, overwhelming .
Take a deep breath. The roller coaster feelings are normal.
Keep coming back here .

Thinking of you and I pray this time will be less anxious for you.
I have yet to face that time. I pray The Lord will give me the grace to get through any turmoil. I know, how these things come on so suddenly without warning.

My 6 month anniversery was on the 22nd and it was a hard day. I am not sure why it was, but a friend of mine warned me this would happen. Today I am fine and doing well. Good luck to you and I hope it gets better.

Six months is difficult. I lit a memorial candle, said a prayer and spent the day with good friends who took me under their wing that day. Take it all day by day...

Truthfully 6 months is still very very early in the grief process. Still very raw and painful. Grief is like emotional rollercoaster with ok and terrible days in the first year. Sending you a very big hug. I remember how painful 6 months was. God bless. Gerry

Thank you all for responding. The support is very comforting. I pray I can hold it together on the 30th. I have to work that day, and attend a meeting on site (I work in construction) and hour away...the drive is gonna be difficult lots of time to think about things. Then hold it together for the meeting, and another hour to get back to the office.

I find a lot of strength from the wonderful people on here.

6 months today. I have a 7 hour drive ahead. One that we drove many times together. Not looking forward to it. I think I'll put the music on loud. Hugs to you and all of us going through this.

    My mom passed away on June 18th. I was her cargiver and only child. Although she was 89 years young and it was "expected" I don't know how to BREATHE without her. I stay busy throughout the day but I can only do that so long until I burn out! I'm all alone now and don't know what I'm going to do!! I can only fake it for so long. I'm TIRED of losing my people!!!!
