Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
you have come to a good place here on this site, it has helped me also get through the hardest thing I have ever had to do. the people here are wonderful caring, loving friends. You should print out the letter from Wifeless, it explains everything perfectly about what we all are going through, not how we all feel the same things but what we are going through. I sent it to my sister and told her it pretty much sums it all up. i am printing it out for my family and friends also. You should try to find a suport group I have, only net 1 time so far but I think it will also help me, we will see.
peace and love to you
Laurie
So sorry for the loss of your husband, but you have indeed found a place where you can express how you truly feel and not worry about people who might not understand. Everyone here understands! I hope you continue to feel a bond with all of us.
People offer good advise and support, the CLs are helpful and knowledgeable and above all everybody here understand what we are going through which is far from the case of our acquaintances.
I wish you peace and strength.
Best wishes
Russ
The people here DO understand and that is what we all need right now. I don't want to stay where I am emotionally. I hope to move forward one day but I choose to take my time. My wife didn't want to leave me and she would kick my butt if I stay miserable. She deserved more from me. The good people here help me feel that tad bit better too.
God Bless
Robbie
I was shocked that one of my biggest supporter is someone at work. I can cry, scream, say nothing, complain or talk about my husband. This women just listens to me and when I am done ranting she hugs me and tells that everything will be okay.
Dont say you are not crying for no reason. You are crying for your loss and that is ok.
You are very early on in your grieving, dont be hard on yourself. Take care of yourself.
