Well today is the day my life changed forever. I 'talked' to him this morning and he told me not to cry too much today. It still feels like it's 365 seconds ago. The last time I saw him I kissed his cold lips and his cold face and told him I'll always love him. He's still in my heart and always will be. I spread a few of his ashes at our local library since that's where we met. When we met I was 36 and a year later he wanted to have a baby; I was hesitant because my oldest was getting ready to leave the nest and I just thought I was too old. Thank goodness I had our baby! He'll live on through him <3 Each day is a bit different and I'm trying really hard not to give up on life since all of this happened. All the "friends" and "family" don't even keep in touch anymore and that's very hurtful, so it's just me and the baby. I know he always said I was a good mom and I know deep down if I gave up on life he wouldn't be happy with me and I wouldn't be happy with myself either. Just some days I feel I don't have the will power to go on :(
I am sending you a virtual hug as that one year hurdle is difficult. I just experienced it myself on July 12th. Things just strike you funny sometimes and can send you in a tailspin if you are not careful. A friend sent me a well meaning sympathy card at the 1 year mark and I just lost it. I now focus on staying positive and taking good care of myself and our children. It's wonderful that you have his baby who needs you now more than ever. Yes, the temptation to just lay down is so strong but we must carry on not only for our children but for ourselves as well. I wish you peaceful thoughts on this 1 year anniversary. God Bless You!
