Several months before my husband passed he said maybe in August we could get a new puppy. A miniature Dachshund. We both loved our little Winnie that had passed a few months before. At the time we had no idea that he would not be here by August. (he passed in April) But I felt the need to fill our wish. I have searched high and low, but finally connected and yesterday bought a 9 week old chocolate female. My son (that lives with me) bought her brother a black and tan. I still have a 5 1/2 year old lab/setter mix, and a 14 yr. old Chihuahua. These two little helions are such a hoot. I find myself truly laughing out loud. The other dogs have their noses all bent out of shape though. ha ha. As my avitar states, my husband loved dogs as I do. These lttle stinkers love to cuddle, give kisses and BITE with those little baby teeth. But they are finding a place in my empty heart. I also joined a training class with the lab/setter mix. I missed one class because of a five day crying spell, but I think we can catch up. It's going to take disapline on my part as the dog is extremely intelligent, but if I don't work her it reflects on me. ha ha. So now, I will be forced to get up, keep stuff off the floor and get some excercise. I will post some pics of the new babies. (probably a lot of pics). I do think my husband is smiling in Heaven, I hope so anyway. Hugs and Love to all, Michele
