Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.

Your post remind me of one of Catherine Tidd's blog writings.

It would be good for you to read some of her other writings as well.
A difficult thing is to adjust to your new environment – the one without your husband. Make small moves to change things. Would a pet in the house make it a more welcoming place? See about regularly scheduled phone calls to friends and relatives. Get outside if possible and let nature help you in processing your grief. Music can help.
Invest your emotional energy in healthy relationships. Is there a mom’s group in your area? Is there a counseling program at a local church that might help you? All these things are ways to help you through the process. The goal is not to grieve, then forget. It is to get you to the point where you can remember and honor your loved one without roadblocks to living your life. I am so sorry you find yourself in this place. Keep on keeping on, it will get better. Life will be good again. I have prayed for you. Blessings.
