Mel, I ask myself the same question. Kind of feels like limbo. My mind is in a tug o war with holding on, and letting go. If that makes sense. Nearly 11 months and I have had good days and really bad days. It is like a big oceanic wave which submerges me and I do all I can to keep my head out of the water, then there is the ebb and I am ok again.

This holiday period has been difficult but surely there will be better times ahead, for you, me, us all.

Yes! Thank you for understanding! It is a tug of war and it does ebb and flow. I'm glad I am not the only one experiencing this. A new relationship is nothing to be feared. You can do it! Just take it as it comes and be open.
I guess I had a pretty good stretch of living and bam! here comes the wave of hurt out of nowhere. It has gotten better. I only have valentines day and death date to get through now. That's it. He died Palm Sunday so I've gotten that first and all the others over with already. :)
Grief is so confusing.....

I understand. I can spend time with family and friends and enjoy myself. In the back of my mind I'm wishing Roby was there and when I get home I'm alone.

You are right about Grief being confusing. I've done all the first since Richard passed away 10/3/12. This was my second Christmas and New Year. Even though I can say it was somewhat better, it somewhat wasn't. If that makes sense. I think because I was so numb and still in a fog last year. Everything was so much clearer. I had my moments, but I am stronger!!
