Tiki, I still get angry about it, even after 6.5 years, so no, it didn't upset me!

I'm angry and crying today too. I have to sign off at times because I just can't deal some days. I think about what my life was supposed to be and it just isn't. It makes me mad. If we can't understand others and give them a break, what good can we do? I understand. Sharon

For some reason today has been a hard day for me too. Its been a crying day and I don't like it, I feel beat up. I don't think I'm angry, just sad & lonely.

No apologies needed here Tiki, we all understand the mood swings VERY Well and that is why were here for each other. I get angry at times too. Going and coming back to an empty house is a big thing with me, I hate the fact that Don is no longer there. We all need release valves, it helps. Hugs Phyl

Hard day for me to. I felt lost and disoriented. I don't usually watch TV but did today. You never have to apologize,but I understand why you think you need to.

I'm sorry you felt like you needed to apologize. I found what you wrote was how I felt as well and I think you were very graceful even if you don't.
There are so many of us who feel that way as you see and I'm so glad you posted what you felt. I am all of those things and more, and grateful at the end of the day when I feel there is no other place for me, here I seem to belong.

Ome of the best things about this group is that you can be totally honest about your feelings. I want to be angry sometimes. I would love a chance to express some indignation. I know that these are feelings rising to the surface. They aren't there yet. I am too depressed to feel my anger yet. I think what you felt was healthy. The fact that you said that you felt angry is even a further step. This is the place to be yourself no apologies necessary.

It's been 4 1/2 years for me and I still feel angry....I guess I always will. But the anger stays down most of the time. But there will be a trigger now and then that brings it roaring back to life. I think emotions are just there. We can try to move away from anger,and that takes a lot of effort, but we cannot let it rule us or it will destroy us. Strategies that have worked for me are talking to someone who understands (like DS members), getting out into nature for a bit, eating and drinking well (staying hydrated), reading good books, participating at church and doing volunteer work. I used to get so mad when people would say "Do some volunteer work." I would want to throw a brick at them because how could volunteer work take the place of my soulmate? Well, it doesn't take the place. It give you a stepping stone to getting back to some type of normal living. It keeps you busy while time passes. I used to welcome nightfall because that meant another day had passed toward the day when I would be feeling better. I am feeling better now, but Mr. Anger is still waiting in the wings for when I let him come out.
