Ditto 2017 has been the worst for me too! I hated seeing my man is so much pain, it was horrible but going forward without him is horrible too! This just truly sucks and 2018 scares the crap out of me! I'm so sorry I have no comforting words.

I still wake up each morning, in mourning. I feel like I have been put in Hospice care, except that the nurses and social workers are not coming around. It just seems everyone's goal is to just make me "comfortable." Do the basics: sleep, shower, and eat. (Why he chose Hospice is beyond me; that was like signing his own death certificate. Sorry, but we got a bad group.) I am just feisty enough to make a few waves now and then. I don't like living alone, and yet some have the gall to say get a dog or cat. Why would I want a dog or a cat?!? I never have in the past. I want a normal life again. I just can't decide which child I want to live close to. Probably the one who has his life the most together. If i can just survive this winter, I will probably have an estate sale and g-haul it out of here. I don't care if I ever see the Pacific Ocean again - or any mountains. Put my feet back on flat land please.

I'm also ready to say goodbye to 2017! I hope everyone has a better 2018!

I vote we take those two years (2016 & 2017) off the calendar. 2014 and 2015 had their downsides as well. I believe it was golden who mentioned those "middle" years. For me that would have been 2012 and 2013 - in this marriage. And then we moved twice and were focused on paying off debts. At least I have a few things to look forward to in 2018.
