I'm so glad I found this community. I've only post a time or two, but have been here just about daily (for about a couple of months) to try to figure out how to deal with all this grief. It's not an easy road to travel....there are just so many emotions to have to try to deal with, sometimes it's just so overwhelming. I've had a really tough day today and I just can't imagine living the rest of my life being so sad. It's been 10 months since the love of my life passed away and it just doesn't seem to get any better. I'm feeling super overwhelmed trying to deal with everything by myself now. I've never had a nervous breakdown, but I just don't know how much more I can handle. I'm sure others out there have felt like this, so I guess I'm turning to all of you for some suggestions on what to do when you have so much on your plate (none of which I can really let go or push off to the side) and are feeling so overwhelmed. Thanks so much for your help....

As a P.S. I am also a note writer and must get my thoughts on paper with the to-do's, want to-do's. Some days are better than others, but I find I get more done when I make that list. I love it when I can check off on that list, as a kudos, well done and atta girl pat on the back. Me to me . . no other necessary. If I don't get it done, it goes on the next day's page, and so forth. We do what we can and that's all that's required.

Thank you so much everybody for being here and taking so much time to respond! I really appreciate it! This is such a supportive place to come! I'm feeling a little better today, I think I just really hit a wall last night and felt lost and so overwhelmed! I do think I'm pretty hard on myself and I'm trying to be better about that, but it isn't easy...my life has completely flipped upside down over the last 10 month and I know it's just going to take time...but, there are times when you think that you just can't handle it anymore and that was me last night. It's such a scary feeling. I have a really hard time asking for help, I've always been able to take care of things that needed to be done, but this grief journey has thrown me into a loop...no desire to really do anything, everything is overwhelming and my concentration just isn't there...which is so NOT like me. Even the smallest of tasks seem so big anymore. Thank ALL of you again for responses...some really great ideas were given and I'm going to try much hard to take care of ME.
