Now it's been a year my dear Don died. I can't believe it. Feels like I haven't seen him in 2 years yet like he died just a few months ago.
My sister/brother in law came to see me on the 16th. I made a nice memorial on what we called our prayer table. Lots of beautiful flowers and my hubby's picture before he retired from the Army, still in his 30's.(He retired from the Army at 39 years old!!) A prayer I printed and framed, and candles. I said the prayer in the frame and my sister read a few bible passages. I took an anxiety med before it all and went through the afternoon very well. We had lunch talked etc. Strange, 2 days before they came over I was feeling pretty good!
The next day after they left, on the 17th I was a crying machine. I felt totally different. Oh the pain just hangs on but you learn to adjust to the changes. Adjusting, is what I call it. Not time will heal, but time allows us to become adapted to our new reality.
So I have a busy week planned so that I can stay focused on doing things my husband would have done and not have too much time to dwell on my sadness.
I will be getting 2 dump truckloads of Sandy Loam. I'll use it to build up the horse stalls and their outdoor connected runs. They need it. When it rains it is flooded behind their stalls from all the walking they've done.
I will use the front end loader bucket to haul the material and let the horses spread it for me.
My first time doing this so wish me luck. I have been thinking of how i'll do it and studying the surroundings. As long as I don't get the tractor stuck or the tires spinning on the sand that is in there now it'll be ok.
I plan to start as soon as the deliveries are made. Figures it's hasn't rained since JULY and now they are talking about rain. Hope I can get it finished first!!!
Well all of you take care. Stay as busy as you can without wearing yourself to the bone. Its really helps.
I am so glad to have my new computer. Now I can get on this site again.

you are a busy lady. I too marked the one year mark on Oct 14th. I had a very hard time and cried most all day. I did have a friend that came to see me and we went to lunch it was nice but a very sad day.
Good luck on your outdoor adventures sounds like you have a plan
