I just wonder how many of us on this site are
country living like on acreages or farms or ranches
and how many are in the big cities while others are in smaller towns etc.

That would be interesting to see how each set of differences cope with skill sets, being around others etc...and how it changes from one to the other? Just wondering today that's all.....

I grew up on a farm. The biggest town was not a town but a village. This is the area that my ancestors settled in the early 1800. They came from England. I know everyone in that village and they all knew me.
My husband lived in a City that was about a hour away from the village.
When we were married, 37 years ago, I moved to the city. I was luck very that my husband had a large family and they became like a second family to me. At first I found it hard to find friends. Then it became easier after I joined some groups.
We bought the house that I live in about 25 years ago. This is my home and I do not plan on moving.

I was liivng in Fresno, CA when I lost my husband. We owned a home in Colorado Springs, CO also. I lost the house in CA and have moved to CO. I had to move in with my renters who happen to be my Sons, Grandsons, and daughter in-law. It worked for a few months, but lifestyle diffenences interfered and now it just my oldest Son and I in a 4 dedroom, 3 bath house. He stayed to help financially. I was a flight attendant commuting to the Bay area from Fresno 400 miles/ 8 hour drive a week. Now i work a 9 to 5 and my commute is 20 minutes each way. City living.
