I have three fur-babies...2 male rat terriers & a female Manchester/Fox terrier mix...I love them dearly, spoil them rotten, & would be very lost without them...they're very affectionate, friendly, & can make me laugh when I really don't feel like it...they give me comfort & soothe my soul...I love them, plain & simple...now if they just could talk...then I wouldn't have to listen to the silence so much...lol...

I do not have dogs. My kids have a CAT.....Lets give equal time for other critters. And then there's chickens....and I will be having cows. Just no dogs. Kaaren

I have 2 dogs and a Love Bird. The bird was my husband's, I have never been a bird person but the little guy has grown on me. He has such a personality. My dogs are the greatest. I have a Siberian Husky that is 3 now and quite the character. He has one blue eye and one brown eye. I love that dog. I also have a female mix that looks a bit like an Austrailian Shepard and Collie, she is such a sweetie. They are my buddies. I grew up with cats as child. Love them too.

I love animals!!!

On Tuesday night someone had found two Miniature Pinschars roaming the golf course, I ended up with them manking the count of Min-pins at my home at 5. I quickly took pictures and spent three hours putting up posters. I have one pin, Phoebe, who I belong to my other two share. None of my three were happy about the two visitors. Thank goodness the owners saw the poster and came for them quickly yesterday.
My home was once again settled and after sniffing every nook and cranny, my three settled down..right on top of me...
As they all lay on me and next to me I felt the love they have for me. If not for the comfort of my fur babies I think I would be in desperate shape. They give me purpose, they are always happy to see me, they don't care if I have put on weight, they watch TV with me, interupt my phone calls with their barking, protect my home from anyone who dares come to the door or any squirrel that hangs on a low branch and they cuddle with me in bed so I am not so alone. They were loved by us and miss their daddy but are my comfort and joy now.

Simply put. . I do not know what I would do without my dogs. I have three Siberian Huskies and a Sheltie mix. If it were not for them, I think I would have just crawled in a hole. There are days when I come home tired and not wanting to do anything but my youngest Sibe, Kai, won't have any of that. No matter if I'm in a bad mood or grouchy, he still manages to make me laugh. He will bring every toy he has for me to throw. I tell him I don't want to play now. . he doesn't care, he just goes and gets another toy. I end up laughing at his antics and before I know it my bad mood is gone. I also have cats, 5 inside cats and 7 "garage" kitties. I have had animals all my life and to be honest, there are some days I would rather be around animals than people.

Dogs now I have some dogs or my girls as I call them I am the proud owner of 4 yes 4 Saint Bernards, my largest little girl weighs in at a mere 200lbs and considers herself to be a lap dog, as they all do! They are the light of my day, what keeps me going, they are aging quickly however and being large dogs they generally don't have a very long life span usually 9-12 years, my girls are coming up on 6, 7, 8 and 9. I just can't imagine ever being without them. The ironic part is the only reason I ended up with a Saint to begin with was my beloved husband, he always wanted one and on a surprise I got him one never wanted one myself because of the slobber....that first Saint ended up being mine so I got another for him.......the rest is history.
The furniture at my house is graciously occipied byt the Saints!

I have an ancient Husky. He is at least 15. We got him at the shelter as a stray. He was my husbands dog, but has graciously decided that I will do in his place. He is a quiet old fellow, very sweet in nature unless you are a wayward chicken.......

I have a small dog who is now four years old. Before acquiring him, I put up tremendous resistence as I did not want any responsibility -- I had finished raising my children and knew that my husband would not care for the little mascot and that it would ultimately me my responsibiel. Well, I acquiesced. I am so happy I did! No matter how bad my day is going, he is always by by side. When I need to go out, he is always right here wagging his tail so happy to se me return!!! All of this love and devotion in exchange for a little love, a bowl of fresh water and food. My little one is truly a blessing to me!!! Great question. Thank you.

My dogs are the reason I get out of bed every day since Brian died. They are now my "family" and I love them more than words can describe. I have 3 Maltese - Charlie, who is 10, and Baxter and Chloe who are just over a year now. We got the puppies 3 months before Brian died and they have been a life saver for me - they are always happy, funny, loving and the list goes on and on. And the love they give me is unconditional. I also have a very fat cat called Chucky and I love him to bits. Now I worry what would happen to all of them if anythng happened to me - I am going to make a plan in my will. Everyone should have a furry friend - it makes life worth living :-) Gail

Susan and I tried dogs but our schedule just wasn't fair to them. I do have three house cats and I've not counted the ones outside yet today.

I also have a 20 gallon tank of fresh water tropical fish that have me on their schedule now.

No chickens or cows.

My baby is a Pug, Crissy, as you can see in my avatar. She is so funny and makes me laugh - probably everyday. Joe held her when she was 10 days old, and he died 4 days later. She was my Christmas present from Joe that year. She will be 3 yrs. old in Dec.

Crissy is sitting in my lap now watching me type. Sometimes she "helps" me type -- or tries it herself!! LOL She also takes my hand gently in her mouth and tries to 'throw' my hand up on her head -- when she needs petting -- which is OFTEN!

I guess she just might be a little spoiled, esp, to sitting in my lap. Sometimes, she pouts if I leave and when I first get back. That only lasts a few minutes. She can be so funny though. I love my baby!

I have a 3 year old pound puppy. 1/2 chocolate lab and 1/2 golden retriever. she was supposed to be mine but decided from day 1 that she belonged to Sherm. Now that he is gone, she looks after me. She was at his side constantly thru the last days. Now it seems like I'm tripping over her but we are muddling thru together.

I found a dog is not a good pet for me. Refuses to clean up after herself. Kennel fees too high.

I have a cat though... my wife's favorite cat.

I got a portie puppy about 5 mths after my husband died. She was my reason to get up each day. She has personality plus and I delight in her. I try to minimize how much I love her because I don;t want to be thought of as strange. She is madly in love with me as well .
I also have two nice kitty cats.

I have a maltese, 12 or 13 years old, that literally followed my husband home from 2 blocks away. He kept crawling under the fence every time my husband put him back in his yard. So he came home with the dog, Mickey, & returned him when the owner got home that evening. Then Mickey started coming to our house alone. We returned the dog 4 more times over the weeks that followed until finally one morning I got a call from Mickey's "mom" who was by now a friend, asking if Mickey was outside our gate. Well, I looked & there he was. The conversation continued and later that evening, after asking if we'd like to keep Mickey, the lady came over with his little bag of belongings.

My yorkie's named Andy. His family in Mississippi lost their home to Katrina. I happened upon him when I was working to match lost pets with their owners. Andy had been surrendered to a rescue & we adopted him shortly after losing our other yorkie due to diabetes.

Mickey needed a buddy and Andy needed a home...so we ended up with the Rooney brothers. ;-)
