Seriously RC:red, rowdy, rambucous red cat - he is such a neutered but small baby but he started spraying when outside cat bugs him at the door, I have spent $$$ on products, locked him up etc I am finding if I scold him it works better...he shoulda been a dog alls I have to do is call him in he comes right in...My husband used to say he was the most unusual cat he had ever seen but I am sure its because he saw his Mom get killed (2siblings) & he was so scared & little.
Then one day Mom came home with a really cute girl! They called her "Heather," and I fell in love! She is an orange and white cat like me, but much more shy. I used my special charm on her, though, and she came around; soon we were snuggling together and I was lovin' it! Loved my afternoon naps with Dad, too, and sitting on his lap; seems like he took more and more of those. Then one day, dad was sitting on the cough and got real quiet. When Mom came home, she tried to wake him up, then got real upset. People came and took Dad away. Then there were a lot of people around, including those kids who chase me, but not Dad. I kept looking for him though; I missed him a lot. Mom missed him even more. I sat in her lap every night and tried to make her feel better. Mom seems to feel better now. Sometimes I play the piano with my feet for her; my favorite time to do that is when she is on the phone. I drink out of her water glass too, and she gets mad. I don't think about Dad much anymore; Mom, Heather and I have made a new life. Mom tells us she can't make it without us. It makes me feel all "purry" when she says that.

Then Daddy disappeared and all kinds of other people came to our house and it was really weird. There are lots of feral cats who live outside the glass door and I thought about running away until they told me it's really a cruel world out there and they advised me to stay put. I looked all over the house "calling" for Daddy but he never did answer or whistle. The dog just sits on Mommy's lap and doesn't say much. Now we both sleep with her and she likes it. We like her too but she talks too much and gets aggravated when we don't answer.
Another option is to call a local rescue group, tell them your dilemna I think they might have some ideas, options even funds to help you out.
