This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.

I remember way back in the day, some things were not allowed to be sold on a Sunday, and there would be white sheets placed over the merchandise. This might have been in drug stores.
There are a few stores like Chic Filet, and Hobby Lobby that close on Sunday. I make sure to buy from them when I can.
I don't believe in opening on holidays, but I do have to work some of them. If it was my business, it would be different.
My entire priority list shifted when Richard was first diagnosed with cancer. I started to savor the little things, and was always overjoyed when a friend or family member spent time with me (us).
One of my friends just asked that we not exchange gifts this year, for our friendship was the true gift, and it was the spirit of Christmas and the Lord's birth that counted.
