Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.

Hope you recover quickly and get stronger minute by minute. We survivors have to be a resilient lot, don't we? All the adjustments to our lives can be suffocating if we let them. March on. We are an army who has entered an endurance race. We may not achieve first place, but we can outlast the best of them if we put our minds to it. TJ
My husband used to worry like a mother hen when I was sick and rush out and come home with all kinds of potions and the latest bestseller.
The first time I was sick was just so incredibility sad. The hardest part of this for me is not being that special someone to someone. Just the comfort and security of knowing you have someone there you can call on night and day.
I know we have friends and family and are truly thankful for them. But when we wake-up hot and feverish noone is there to get us a gingerale and cold cloth and nag us about making a doctor appointment.
Frankly, I had a little bit of pity party with myself. I guess this is just one more unpleasant fact we face in our new reality.
I hope you're feeling better today.
