my wife died 11 months ago. each day i remember what life was like a year ago to date on this date our children and grandchildren gathered for what was our last time together. we were together for 48 yrs. all my memories are painful and my future doesnt matter. we were kids when we met in 1969, married in 1970. my brave face is crumbling but i promised her that i wouldnt take my own life or burden our children but i dont thing she would want me to suffer like this. sadly i am in perfect health thus doomed to years of misery. my heart goes out to all others suffering loss,thanks for listening

My husband has been gone for 2 months today. I feel exactly how you feel....I am in good health, but doomed to years of misery. I keep thinking...wow...I could live another 20 years.! It is going to be rough to be alone that long. I know God wouldn’t want me to take my own life, so I won’t. It would hurt my daughter and grandchildren too much.

I am sorry that you feel this way too. I pray for God to help me endure....prayers for you also. God bless....

This is a hard long process love. I've been without my husband for nearly four years now. I've wanted to die many times to be with him but I have children and Granchildren and he wanted me to be strong for them and strong I will continue to be. This is not a thing that you will ever get over but you will eventually be able to live with it day by day. Big hugs sweetheart this is awful
