I really thought I would be doing better by now. JB was the love of my life. I was married before to a man who cared less if I lived or died. I finally found my soul mate and after just 10 years he suddenly died of a cerebral hemorrhage. I actually had someone where I work say "well you weren't together that long." I wanted to punch her. He made me feel alive and loved. Now well.....thanks for listening.

I'm so sorry. I too lost a wonderful man. He had a stroke and was gone in a week. He treated me so good. At least we had 40 years.
People say the most thoughtless things. They are inconsiderate.. They can't possibly know how it feels to lose the love of your life.

It’s been 7 months since my wife died. I had hung onto the feeling that Spring would really help me with this. No more cabin fever, cold and snow. It Has been beautiful and all I can see is the large empty garden and flower beds that we worked together on. I have good days with crap weeks. The new normal for me.

Winter was awful. When my mother passed away I thought Dad was of course devastated and he didn't have it in him to be there for us. I get it now. I didn't have 60 years with JB but I sure wish I did. I am grateful for the time I had with him. I am selfish. I wanted more.

We are fortunate that we found "the one" when there are others who have never really ever had a wonderful loving relationship. That is something that I hold onto when I am feeling really low. Roxanne

Today I feel grateful. Grateful for my dog Blue (Blue Jean Baby Queen, Prettiest girl I've ever seen). Grateful I'm still kickin'. Grateful I'm finally taking responsibility for my health. Grateful I own my home. Grateful for good friends and neighbors who watch over me. Grateful to God for His everlasting love and patience with me. Grateful I survived the 10 years since my wife of 30 years...
