WIDOWS AND WIDOWERS OF FAITH Community Group
A place where people of faith may freely discuss issues of grief from a faith based perspective.
I don't compare people or things. It just doesn't seem fair to me and never has. But I have noticed a difference in the W/W board and the W/W of faith board. The diffeence being hope. There are so many new folks coming and going and the pain is so intense for all. But when you read post from someone who relies upon their faith, there seems to be a more optimistic view over all. I truly wish that when this happens in the lives of people they would give God a chance in their lives. And just see if the pain and grief can be alleviated a little. I have to be honest and especially with all of you. When I found Linda that morning in our bed lifeless and I didn't have God coming all over me with His spirit, I would have taken myself out. I would not be here. If I only had myself to get me thru those first few days, weeks, months and this past year, I would not be alive. I wanted to follow her so badly it hurt me to my core. The only thing I remember hearing is the voice of God in my heart telling me I'm here with you. He got me thru the worst part. And I think if that had not been so, this would be over. This is why I hope and pray that some of the folks who I see post on this site would at least reach out to Him, just to see what can happen. But we can't make anyone accept what we already know and sometimes that in it's self hurts to.
I am so grateful for this board and the chance to come here and express things from a spiritual stance that otherwise I could not on the other board. Physical death is a definate. We will all paas on our appointed day. It can't be avoided, so why ignore that part of life? I just don't know how anyone can do this without God with them.
Loosing Linda has enhanced my already recognition that this life is in the end shadows. Temporary at best. Everything we experience today will be a memory tomorrow. And it fades with each day that passes by. The only thing that lasts is the love we had/have for those who have moved on to the eternity. And I think that, in itself, is enough to let us know if not remind us what is actually imortant in life. The Bible tells us to store up our treasures in heaven. And for so many they take that to mean material items. I believe it's different for each of us. For myself, my treasures are the ones in my life who have gone on in. And my reward after the obvious, being in the presents of God, for me will be the reuniting with those there. for nothing is more valuable than what we had with them. So my eyes are on the things from above and not so much on this temporary earth. But while waiting, I know that He has work for us all to finish before that day. The main forcus I feel is to try and bring as many home to Him as we as Christians can.
Take care.
Peace,Tim
His word tells us He will never leave us or forsake us and He will always show us a way thru.
I repeat that to myself everyday. It is like my daily bread. I have to have it everyday.
Take care.
Peace, Tim
