I really didn't know was that common to feel like that and have those reaction. I always think to be in control of my own mind and body but I guess it's not that true. lol.

The doctor prescribed me some antidepressant but to be honest I really don't feel like to take that stuff. That's the main reason because I never even try alcohol and drugs. I just don't like the concept to be dependent from something external to feel better. I believe in the power of the mind and the work inside of yourself. Yes sometimes medications can help in the moment of the main shock but after need to cut that stuff of right away. I read the collateral effects....... it says "depression". Lol.

The doctor gave me antidepressants 15 years ago when I wasnt depressed, not the way one should be to be described antidepressants, but they gave it to me and I took them for a whole year and then bamm!! next day ( after celebrating my birthday ) I didnt stand up from bed for 9 months, then I got depressed, major depression lying in bed all this time, not eating, not remember much at all. Years later on nurse told me that ok maybe I should not have been given those meds. I am sure that these meds made me sick instead of helping me. After this I never became the person I once were before taking them. I

One shall be careful with drugs. I dont want to scare anyone, but one should really need them to use them.

I read today that nuts are good source to get seretonine level higher. Also exercise help. But if one are depressed then I think meds can be good help.

I mean I got depressed laying in bed for 9 months after taking antidepressants for one year..when I go other antidepressants I slowly got better and able to function

Oh are you serious???That's very scary. Very scary! Sorry you went through that. That's not fun at all. This is why I'm against those stuff, even if a person thinking about suicide I agree on taking them. Or for major sicknesses.

yes it was very bad, I dont wish this upon anyone. I tried antidepressants again one year ago and collapsed at the mall and fall go a little brain concussion and sent to hospital to observe. After this I will never ever take antidepressants again. It scared me too much!

But maybe the dose was too high for you?

I collapsed at the mall 45 minutes after taking he first pill :( it got noted in the few who get allergic reactions.. he even said to me " lay down when you take them", like I should go home take them again while laying down as I was at the mall when collapsing standing up! I dont think that doc can have been right in the head.

No it was not the dose, I took it for one year you know...and the pill one year ago was the only 5 mg or so

Oh I see. Those medication are very strong. I just took two in the beginning of my situation, when I lost the baby etc. I got depress so much and I was having very weird thoughts that I never had in my life. So I stop right away.

they docs at hospital said they dont know why I collapsed as the does was to small to should collapse of it, they said ti may be a mixed of me being very hungry at same time, but I have been very hungry many times and never have collapsed

Yes, the meds are not for everyone, the docs are way to uncareful today when giving people pills...

Yes I think so too. They should be very careful to give those medications. I seriously didn't like that feeling. It's a feeling that you cannot control your state of mind. It's horrible. Meditation works much much better.

Yes what you felt must be scary too, not control over one thoughts. If one can function its best to avoid meds and try natural things first and meditation yes.

But some poeple will have good benefit of meds of course...it just scared me away from them after that collapse, I dont want to die.

Yes I think medications are very helpful in extreme cases. Those can help our life for sure. But for the rest of the situations, best thing is to rely on other treatments.
It must not be that fun to collapse like that.
