That was a comment from a coworker when the subject of veterans came up on veterans day.
I had to leave work to keep from reacting poorly and loosing my job. Who the F is she to make such a comment?
I am a Navy veteran (1971-75) yes Nam. I have EARNED the right to be special. Anyone that thinks differently about any Vet should move to Russia or maybe a bunk buddy with some in the Gulag.
I can't promise that I will not confront the individual but if I do it will be nothing pretty.

I hope that no one ever says anything like that to me again . I have a feeling that I won't be able to hold back . The more that I think about it... That person is not only insulting me ... It's all of my comrades that never made it back home... It's all the rest of the Viet Nam vets... I WILL NOT ALLOW THAT TO HAPPEN AGAIN. I'm 65 years old ... my wife left me four years ago after a 38 year marriage. I don't see my Grandchildren much any more because of that . I have four Stints and a brain tumor.. Soooooooooo, I hope they don't push me anymore..I DON"T CARE ! Really !!!! LOL.
Now I'm off to the VA (Hines ,IL. ) today to see the Doctor. I'll shoot the shit with the other Vets.. Plus I get $21 travel pay.
Oh... One More thing guys... I was approved for in heart condition and I now get a total of 80% disability. Ya.... Some good things are happening !!
