I voted early. I too am delighted with the Republican victories.

I voted around noon time. Split ticket. I actually wrote in Donald Duck for Governor. We had useless candidates for that office. Then the town of Bridgeport with 70,000 registered voters only ordered 21,000 ballots. They ran out. Polls extended till 10pm in Bridgeport only. Because of this, Himes won 4th District House seat from Republican opponent. So the end results is Connecticut will be sending a Democrat to the Senate, and 5 Democrats to the House (we only have 5 to send). All state offices (i.e. Attorney General, Treasury, Sec of State) are in Democrat hands. Only the Governor's office is undecided. Foley and Malloy are both claiming victory. The difference in votes is 3100 votes. Only if the difference is 2000 or less can there be a recount. So Malloy is claiming victory. Foley is taking it to court.

I am glad the Republicans took control of the House but wish they had gotten more seats in the Senate. With White House in Dems hands, and the Senate under their control, the House has its work cut out for itself. How much work will get done?

BTW....on facebook....over 11 million members voted nationwide.

I like the major "Message" we have sent to Washington, But I'm a little leary that the "Old GOP folks" still don't get it. I hope people like Rand Paul & Marco Rubio can "Bring them along". John Boehner SEEMS to understand, but time will tell. Otherwise, it's just more of the same... Gridlock, screw the people, gridlock, screw the people...

I voted... For the less of the two evils. .Evil is not the right word... But I'm tired of broken promises. Tired of no one doing something about protecting our borders.. Bringing home our (BRAVE)_ soldiers and using that money to help .. OUR country, our economy,,,, our people ... Anyway.... Bla..bla ...bla .. I voted !!!!

I'm really sick about our borders being up for grabs, too, and open for all those to invade. seems like if we "defend" it all of a sudden we are racist??

Obama wants to raise retirement age to 68 and eventually to 69. Not only that but he wants to cut the amount of the benefits paid out. He would have to do that in order to pay benefits to the millions of illegal assholes that he will be making legal with his Amnesty. At least with Republicans in control of the House we might be able to stop this.

My thoughts on Obama and his wanting to cut benefits to social security and raise retirement age.

1. Take a cut in pay and benefits first Mr. President.
2. Cut pay and benefits to Senators and Congressmen.
3. Stop this Amnesty that will add millions of illegals to the social security program. (These illegals have not paid a cent in and should not get anything out.)
4. Have the government pay back into the Social Security Fund that which they so greedily took out over the decades.
5. And most importantly, quit sending so much aid to places like Haiti and India and other countries. Instead sink that money into Social Security.

Doing this will save Social Security for my sons and their children.

Like the sound to that. I actual was thinking of US House in 2012 against John Larson. That white-haired asshole is Obama's personal ass-kisser. Like Lieberman, he claimed to be against ObamaCare yet he voted for it without even reading it. I am asking around now through local Republicans about running on a completely Conservative platform. I could get about 14,000 votes from the surrounding area as my family is well-known around here. If Bob is still around and I am alive and kicking, I would make a run at the Presidency in 2020.
