my company is growing www.k-9patrol.com and I want to hire only vets anyone know where in the VA I can find their employment office?

hmmmmm . I have been involved in a few VA "centers" and they all have job placement services for veterans. I suggest you conact the one in your area .. you can do it online, and get the local phone number for it. Ask the phone operator to connect you with the administrator of the job placement program. Be sure he understands you are not looking for a job at that VA facility.

By the way ... if you want to recruit OUTSIDE the VA .. you can advertise employment for Veterans. Just ask each applicant to produce their DD214 which is the form proving they served in the military. Almost every veteran has a copy of theirs .. or can get it.

I am in CH31 voch rehab but they only suggest the state unemployment veteran rep. Whom I cant ever get ahold of for a week now. looking for other resources and no one seems to know of a VA placement plan someone did suggest local colleges they have a military and vet rep.

Well I finally got ahold of the Vet Rep at the Unemployment office. What a find she is sending me vets by the dozen. The scary things is that most of them are overqualified, but they are willing to work for me just to have a job the economy is so bad.

The VA rep also told me how to get tax credits for hireing them $4800 a piece. What a relief that will be for my company. Thanks WV for the links I learned alot.

Uhhhm ... thank YOU for what you are doing .. for law enforcement, your community, AND veterans. I think you have done a huge job and made quite an accomplishment. Awesome .. in fact. You deserve prosperity .. at least.
