I'm a Vet.... And your right. Not a lot of Vets here.

There are plenty of us here, AJ's Mom. We just don't wear our uniforms to therapy. I certainly don't. Shoot, I usually can't even stand to be counted on Veteran's Day.

Hope you find the support you are looking for. Some VA centers include family therapy. The VA center I have used most and I am super glad they do. Their family support is enough to make a huge diff to family members struggling to understand why only part of their loved one returned from the war.

Alas, many (most?) VA centers still go by the old military logic that, "If we wanted you to have family, we would have issued you family." Don't seem fair to me, but. . . Political activism isn't my strong suit.

I'm a Marine Corps Vet. This group used to be full of vets years ago.... I'm not sure where they all went.

I have been a member of this group back when Gunnery was inspirational to many here. His passing kind of slowed the group down and it never recovered. Also DS changed hands from Doug to Harpo (Oparh Winfrey and Dr. Oz) and now it is run by someone else. It was at one time a highly liberal social organization but seems to be getting better. I will admit I am not here very much... I do belong the a Football Group and come here during football season. I find it hard to find any of my old friends since my account here was blocked out and I had to open a new one I was here in 2007.

I am a Air Force veteran (1965-69 ... discharged as E-4) and I am also a Navy veteran (1971-1983, discharged as a Data Processing 1st Class E-6).

Adam, I wish you son well and hope he is getting support from his VA. Some are great, some are good, some are horrible. Hope his is good. I think Connecticut has the best VA around. I go to the Newington Campus but have had surgery at West Haven, CT. The VA for me is heaven sent. I have had 5 bypasses done, 2 stents in my legs and 3 in my heart and recently got a pacemaker.

Air Force here, Grenada era, logistics management E-4/1, yes over 1!!!! i stayed for 2 but didn't get my rocker because they were so mad at me for separating while having groomed me for commission. but an assault on me derailed my goal and the rest is history! but i made history achievement wise, becoming the squad mascot, having a special award from tech school command even. so what most did in 4 years i did in 1 or 2! nd even my skt was 7 level within 2 years but i wanted to know EVERYTHING
