So sorry for your embarassment. I have been close to having such an accident many times, and there was one horrible day at work when I couldn't reach the bathroom in time and I soiled my pants. I was so embarrassed. I cleaned the mess as well as I could, and I hid in the bathrooms for ages trying to make the damp marks where I'd cleaned my clothese come dry. I spent the day keeping as far from people as I could. I couldn't look anyone in the eye - I was sure that everyone could smell me. I still worry that this will happen to me again one day.

So sorry to hear about Your accident. I'm doubly incontinent so I deal with it often. Even though I'm disabled and need to use diapers. Its still embarrasing. I mostly stay at home. We have a homecare nurse that helps Me through the day and My husband, Sister & mother help the rest of the time. I'm always afraid when I am out that somebody will smell it if I have a messy event in My diaper. Even though I'm in a wheelchair and for the most part nobody can tell. I feel very self concious at times.

Hi Monnie45, so sorry to hear about your embarrassment, and how it made you feel. I can only imagine how awful you must be feeling. Try not to let it get you for too long. To prevent it happening in the future, take some spare pants to work with you, and some hygiene products to feel fresher. Maybe put some in a locker at work, or keep it in the trunk of your car? Then you're always prepared. Would you feel comfortable talking to your boss about your incontinence? You dont need to tell them the specifics if you dont feel comfortable, and you can just tell your boss that you have a medical condition. They should hold any information in strict confidence, so if you do want to give them more of an understanding as to why you do go to the bathroom frequently, confiding in them might make you more at ease. Reaching out to others can help provide you with the support you need to deal with your incontinence, but I know it can be a frightening time deciding when the best time and place to do it is. sorry you had a bad day.. we all do at times!... but be prepared is the best way! carry spare clothes in your car or in your desk and a plastic bag to put soiled clothing in .. while you cant avoid all accidents at least you can feel better after it and don't let the bad days keep you from living and going out!
