Thomas has been out for awhile, I've noticed. I'm not incontinent myself, my BF is that's why I'm on this group. My advice to you is that if you aren't too uncomfortable and the method you mentioned above doesn't cause more problems, rashes etc, than I don't see why it would be a problem. But if you end up not feeling comfortable physically or other issues arise because of that method I'd try something else. When people are physically not feeling well or comfortable it sometimes affects their behaviors, moods, and daily patterns; this is something you may want to consider.

Sometimes there are things that are worth the extra expense.

If your incontinence is light/moderate, you might consider using an external catheter and leg bag. You would need to be fitted by a professional, an embarrassing procedure, but you might find it cost-effective over the long haul.

Unless you are having some type of skin problem I wouldnt use the Restore. It has a skin repair cream in the brief. you can get alot more bang for your buck if you shop it. Depending on the amount of the void would stick with the guard. I like the Dignity mens anti-leak pouch. It has worked in the past. Hope this helps.

I'm starting to agree that tape-on diapers, despite being cheaper..are not really practical unless they have a waist band..even if i can undo and restick the tapes.. its agravatting..

Right now..i have 18 waglgeens tape on briefs. those cost me 10 dollars.. not bad as far as confort and protection.but perhaps they would be best for home use.. since i have to fumble with the tapes in order to use the bathroom..or use the product as a urnial..ugh i dont like that thougtht.
Hmm..heres an idea.. use tape on briefs at home..using maybe 1 or 2 a day.. and using belted undergarments or slip ons when out and about.

i mean to say considering 16 dollars of that didn't come out of my checking account.. a guy offers to buy my humanites book.. im like sure! so i get 30 bucks from him and buy 2 bags of belted undergarments.. so i'm set for protection.. briefs might be the most comfortable..the shields tend to ride up o end up inn the buttcrack..any ideas to prevent this?
