Hello all, I’ve been on this sight before and read lots of comments on here. I’ve been battling urinary incontinence for about 14 years now and I’ve never felt “OK” with it but have learned to manage it. It’s good to see others talking about this now, the stigma of younger people who have to deal with this with absorbent products is starting to become understood but we have a ways to go!! I think the abdl side of diapers has given us more questions but I believe whatever your reason for wearing it’s a need for you and it’s no ones business why!! Just very happy to see so many people talking about incontinence now.

Glad to see so many friendly hellos, and comments. I’ve had issues for the last six years. It started with a drip or two, then progressed to leakage about quarter size. Now, I have issues with the urge to go just coming out of nowhere. Sometimes I can keep it at bay, and sometimes not.

Feel free to ask me anything, as I’m glad to offer help if I can.

How many of you have seen a dr or urologist about your issues?

I initially did when the drip first appeared. Was given some medicine to take home and try. But it didn’t seem to help. Doctor almost scared me out of seeing a urologist. He told me about some tests that a urologist may want to do, and none of it sounded very pleasant. So I just got used to wearing a pad, and that has worked pretty well.

You should definitely go and see a urologist. Ok so the 'prodding' is not much fun and it can be a bit embarrassing, e.g wearing protection (in my case Tena Slip All in one adult nappies' ) but they have seen it all. Bottom line is it could be your prostate or other medical issue that needs treatment rather than simply managing a symptom. Please go an see a consultant.
