Urinary Incontinence Support Group
Urinary incontinence is the involuntary excretion of urine from one's body. It is often temporary, and it almost always results from an underlying medical condition. Stress, functional, and urge incontinence are the most common forms. Share with other support group members and learn from their stories and experiences.

In 2013 I had an accident resulting in spinal injury at the base of my neck with paralysis from there down, spasticity (muscle contractions and spasms) and double incontinence. Both my anus and my urethra have been left closed except with manual intervention. I hardly ever pass urine via the usual route (I have a suprapubic catheter passing directly into my bladder about 2 inches below my...

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
No, I do not enjoy talking about it, but, talk or no talk, I still need to deal with it. It is exasperating, and it makes functioning in public more of an adventure than I care to undertake. I would really like to read material on bowel management and skin care. I use Nullo to manage odor, and try to keep a running estimate of timing, which, currently, for me, runs to 48-60 hours between BMs. This is not foolproof, and sometimes I get caught. I also try to manage fiber and fluid intake, but I could use some advice there too. I guess I could welcome you, but that too would be inappropriate for such an exasperating condition. Perhaps a little shared support and insight would be useful, and I can at least offer that.
My doctors have told me that the nerves to that part of my body no longer work as they should. I have had surgeries and several physical therapy sessions devoted to incontinence management. I wish there were some sure cure, but I guess I'll have to settle for incremental improvement. I regularly see some five specialists in addition to my family doctor. I would like to read some qualified medical advice in this area.
I'm new to this site, but am glad I've joined. I suffer daily, multiple times a day from both urinary and fecal incontinence. Yes it is very annoying, very humiliating. I've dealt with it my whole life also...so if you'd like to chat, I would LOVE to as well.
