I'm sorry to hear that this has been a struggle for you. While my daughter's condition involoves a neurgenic bladder, I understand that some of the treatments used for nuergenic bladder can also be used for other types of bladder incontinence. Have you asked your uro about some of the bladder calming drugs availible? Also, there are more extreme measures like surgery to either reconstruct the bladder or create a sling around the urethra to tighten it up. Has your current uro done any workups such as a VCUG, cystogram or urodynamics study to see exactly what is causing the problem? There could also be a undiagnosed neurogenic cause as well, such as a teathered spinal cord. Maybe you should consider seeking another opinion from a different uro? Good luck, keep us posted on what you find.
I was asking my uro about surgery but he said there are no current effective surgeries out there. I am willing to try anything, even if it may be extremely risky.
I have been taking a medication called DDAVP that helps the bladder relax and expand easier, but when I stop taking them it just comes back. I don't want to be taking medication for the rest of my life.
I may decide to get a second opinion on this. Thanks a lot for your help. :)
