we are so far removed as a society from how we were created to survive. The population is out of control and our govt keeps letting more into our country. It use to be you could roam the countryside far away from a town, find some unclaimed land and plop down, build a home, hunt and kill what you had near your home for dinner, plant a garden-sure it was hard but you could surely provide for your famiy and survive without being dependant on our new civilized ways...huh, not so civilized sometimes.
Now we have to do some crazy song and dance routine, market ourselves like we're so fantastic and kiss ass all around town to get and keep a job. You have to depend on people who don't care about you, your family and are on a huge power trip.
Now that my husband left me in February and I've been a stay at home mom for the last decade I have to rejoin the work force. I was an over the road truck driver before I had my boys. I won't return to that and leave them. I've turned to the school system so I can be with them as much as possible.

There are a handful of jobs in the school system, but always always bus drivers are needed. With my background in driving I've gotten trained to be a bus driver. It's actually kind of fun while all along I thought it would be scary. The kids can be so good. But the hours are not great if you have kids because you have to work before they are in school and after they get out. Pointless to me.
I am also planning on substitute teaching. And subbing for my friend at her daycare and other local daycares after I get credentialed. There are ways if you have experience with kids. I got my experience through volunteering at church. Great on a resume!
