Still can't find work. Oreilly's auto in springfield MO was the latest to say no and i have no idea why.....
my main problem is i have gotten to the point of not mentioning i have been on disability because in MO they just toss your application in the garbage. They don't want to know how hard you have worked to get off disability...the pain you have gone through to get fixed so you can work...going to school to get the bachelors while being a single father of an autistic (aspergers) son that needs constant contact with the school (luckily he is in college now and much better).....they just see the 13 year gap and a looser that had to go on disability and acording to them anyone on disability is just lazy....F'n BS...
People complain that people on disability, what they refer to as welfare are just lazy. They don't have the workers spirit to contribute to a company but in truth that is a complete load of BS.
My family has always been poor. We have worked hard to try and get somewhere and I got sick...I was treated for years for the wrong diagnosis and the medication made me too sick to keep working. I did finally peice together the actual problem and got treated so i'm fine now to work and am really wanting to get off disabilty and back earning to take care of my family. All they see is a looser and even though that is completely unfair....Its just the way it is.
Jokes on them though for every denial means the more taxpayers pay to help me find work through Vocational Rehabilitation and Sub contractors that act as Career coaches for re-entry into the workforce. Truthfully i hate being such a burden on society....I can work and i know whatever company that does give me a chance is going to be completely suprised at what i can do.
I have had employers drop their jaws at something i know how to do...and now i have a TON more education and training.
Just need a company to hire me so I can show the world how absolutely amazing i can be.

Just thought I would join this group now that I am a widower. My wife passed away May 28th. She was "The Wind Beneath My Wings". When I met her, I was a drunken, dope smoking, fighting, hell raising biker. She told me if I could get rid of the inner storm within me, that I could be a blessing to people. God placed her in my path to stop me. I have been drug and alcohol free now for 53...

For westerners, this is the other side of the world, where everything is exotic and unfamiliar. Piracy is still a problem on the Java Sea, and English is not widely spoken. The Java Sea is about 1,600 km long, 400 km wide, and loiters loosely between the islands of Borneo to the north, Java to the south, Sumatra to the west, and Sulawesi to the east. The equator is a few degrees north, so...
Employers do not have confidence in the future right now, and are skittish about hiring. They get so many applications for any job they look for any excuse to reject one. All we can do is try, not take it personally, and try again.
Now that you might have some time to spare, volunteering is one way to fill the gap. Temping is another. I wish you all the luck in the world. Cheers!
