Recently unemployed or frustrated with the job search? Unemployment can affect more than just the bank account - it has a negative effect on motivation and self-esteem, even sense of identity. This community addresses the challenges associated with unemployment and how to cope.
I really do not want to whine about my situation ...but past history has great meaning as they are/or can be a shared experience,,, I have come against a multitude of persons who have been similarly discarded. Even Obama has mentioned this in his speeches now and again when referring to jobs issues,, So it is a real problem,,,
The issue at hand is how does someone at 50 or 60 retrain for another skill set other than what he/she has done for last several dozen years under very different circumstances,, and even if he/she does ,, they have to compete in a dwindled down employment market ,,,despite the recovery numbers which are suspect anyway,,
It seems to me ..if you want to eliminated a ton of people who are on disability for depression and associated disorders, and save yourself a ton of SSDI payments, in this depressed jobs environment, you need to create adequate levels of employment by whatever means you have at your disposal ,,, and just not sit on circumstances and do next to nothing ,,,
It is not complicated math,, either you have these people working in which they pay into the system,, or you have these people living with depression and anxiety and just taking out of the system,,, it is not rocket science !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you relocate?
I had a couple of previous contracts in Broward county but there's not too much going on there. How about Dade County work?.
first,, I refuse to allow a job or any job dictate the conditions of my life,, never have and never will,,
Second, I have a house that I cannot fold up and put into my pocket ( a joke,, but true)
Third. Although it would be helpful,, in my situation I do not actually need a job that badly,,, a part time would do nicely,,
