Is unemployment the norm in 2013 ?

The more people that I seem to encounter the more people state that they are currently or recently unemployed, or at least in a job that is unsustainable for any length of time,,,A ture and very real divide has immerged in the past few years,,and there is no end in sight, despite the statistics and numbers touted,,Seems that nowdays top to bottom situations are all affected ,,,,the only way out of this is a massive and fundamental shift in how we deal with job growth, spending, and unemployment,

Until that happens NOTHING will change, and conditions will only be harder to deal with,,

I believe in Paul Krugman's remedy,,,forget spending and deficits ,,,,spend the money you need to sustain a working economy, even if it means creation of government jobs in the short term till the pvt sector feels the pain of a reduced workforce and growth,,,My money was on him for Sec'y of the Treasury,,,a small amount of inflation never killed anyone ,,We are not Greece and never will be ,,,that is a damn incitement as in watch what you do or the boogeyman will get you,,,

What a bunch of crap !!!....Spend the money !!

Greece is a micromanaged "specimen" of the future. A careful devised and created "test" for the not so distant future. How can we continue to "spend" money that we don't have? Keep creating it out of thin air? Doesn't anyone understand that by "exploding" the economy with more paper it only DEVALUES the dollar and heightens inflation? Wealthy countries no longer want to "accept" our paper because they realize it is declining and headed for collapse. Travel abroad and see if I tell the truth. Check out what China is doing. Converting as fast as they can our worthless paper into actual valuable assets. CHINA knows. SWITZERLAND knows. Can anyone understand SEE our dollars are loosing value when going to acquire the mere basics in this society, i.e. food, fuel? Isn't it time that the "blinders" came off and we SEE what lies ahead for us, i.e. Greece? HASN'T GREECE'S GOVERNMENT AND PEOPLE "MILKED" THE "SYSTEM" FOR ALL THAT THEY COULD UNTIL THE COW HAD NO MORE MILK TO GIVE? Doesn't anyone SEE? He who has eyes to see and ears to hear can only see this. The rest are BLIND as a BAT. But, folks, the blind are going to WAKE up and behold a NIGHTMARE that cannot be escaped from. The WRITING IS ON THE WALL. Denial is grand, but will not work forever. It's about time to pay the piper. Anyone ready?

you are right on catwoman. Politicians have not learned from the past or other countries like Greece. Glaring in their face, they ignore the lessons unrolling.
