I keep trying but everything throws me back.

I keep trying for work. five years ago i tried to go back to work and couldn't get anyone to hire me. The only advice i got was that i didn't have a degree so i spent three years going back to school and getting a bachelors degree (i had some previous attempts which is why i only graduated with a 3.34 GPA i could have gotten higher but i didn't want to retake classes). Now it's been almost a year since graduation and almost 20 applications that i have had only five interviews and nothing but complete denials. I don't know what is wrong with me. 


I am currently working within the ticket to work program and have Vocational Rehabilitation helping me as well as an employement company called AbilityKC but no one can come up with an answer yet. I need to wait and see what AbilityKC comes up with but I just don't know what is wrong with me. 


I am waiting on scrieber foods for an IT job but who knows.


Maybe i made a mistake going back to school or trying to get off disability. The bad thing is the reasons for my disability are no longer there and i have basically been fixed asside from whatever is going wrong with the job search. I am able bodied for the most part.

Just hang in there, man. You have done everything you can to be employable. After earning your degree, you are more employable than the previous person you were. Finding a job is not a science but hit and miss. Sometimes jobs would suddenly spring up randomly then gone again. So I just encourage you keep on trying. Think positive. You will get it.

Getting five interviews out of 20 applications is actually a great response. You need to step up the number of applications. Doing 20 applications every month would be a feasible goal. Research the companies and your contacts before writing your cover letter, and again before going in for the interview.

The more positivity, enthusiasm, perceptiveness, and confidence you can project going into the interview, the better are your chances of getting that job. You can do it!

If you can read one book to improve your chances, it should be "How To Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. Here are a few excerpts:

Bonusjack the problem is that is basically all the jobs in my area and i can't relocate at the moment due to family responsibilities.
