Hi. I'm new here and I'm looking for advice as well as support.
I graduated with my Masters about 3 months ago, and have been struggling to find work ever since. I had two interviews, but didn't get hired for either job. A few days ago, I had the most infuriating conversation with a job recruiter. I responded to her request to send an updated resume via email. Two days passed and I still received no response or confirmation that she received my resume. When I called to see what was going on, the person on the other end (who never identified herself), said that I needed to send her my resume. When I replied that I already sent one in, she says that the job has been placed on hold and that they'll keep my resume on file. The fact that she said that so quickly after I told her that I already submitted my resume makes me think that something was up.
I'm getting frustrated. I've been out of work for 3 months and my savings account is almost completely empty. Does anyone have any advice on how to get through this? Thank you in advance.

Just thought I would join this group now that I am a widower. My wife passed away May 28th. She was "The Wind Beneath My Wings". When I met her, I was a drunken, dope smoking, fighting, hell raising biker. She told me if I could get rid of the inner storm within me, that I could be a blessing to people. God placed her in my path to stop me. I have been drug and alcohol free now for 53...

For westerners, this is the other side of the world, where everything is exotic and unfamiliar. Piracy is still a problem on the Java Sea, and English is not widely spoken. The Java Sea is about 1,600 km long, 400 km wide, and loiters loosely between the islands of Borneo to the north, Java to the south, Sumatra to the west, and Sulawesi to the east. The equator is a few degrees north, so...
@bonusjack I will do just that. I'm a bit apprehensive about it because the agencies I contacted in the past were ineffective (i.e. no call backs, unprofessional tone and demeanor, losing my application materials). I also posted my resume online and have been contacted by about 4 recruiters, but only one of them seemed sincere about helping me contact an employer.
One thing to keep in mind - financially stability is not directly correlated to formalized education.
Society tries to (and is successful at it) convince us that they are directly correlated. If that were true, why are so many $Millionaires+ without say, a college degree? How come there are teenagers who also fall into that category? It’s NOT happenstance. Society would have you believe that it is.
You definitely have knowledge and skills needed in the business world - you mainly need to first climb out of your box.
Once you start seeing outside of your box, you’ll see an unlimited and BEAUTIFUL horizon!
