The new project I am working on has been advancing, but we're still in the process of signing up clients and building the website, so we haven't gotten paid yet, although their are meetings to attend. Finally we met with a client recently and are going to start billing them this month, so I will start getting paid next month.
I thought my husband would be happy with this. He sometimes is, but when he is stressed about his work or other things aren't working out, then he gets very negative about what I am doing. He says things like it isn't going to work out because the economy is bad, or that I am being duped by attending these meetings when I haven't been paid yet. Why does him being stressed and unhappy at work have to turn into a lack of support for me?
We have 4 clients that want to be involved from the start and another that will join in May, so I think that is very postive. We needed 3 clients to be able to launch and we're doing better than that. The company that will join in May is run buy someone both our General Manager and I know well and he does follow through on things, so I think we can trust he will be participating as he says.
This is the only thing I have going for me, so I have to give it a try and believe it will be successful.
And as far as cable... if you can afford 70 dollars sometime, I got a HDTV digital antenna that you put outside, on a 15 to 30 ft metal pole, and it gets several channels. It is remote control so you can move it to search for channels in all directions. Right now I get 26. It's enough. You get up to a 150 mile range. So I get all the big cities up to 150 miles from me, their channels. It will get you by.
My parents paid for mine, and I am 60...
If you have a nice neighbor with internet, you can go off their router if you are close enough. I have been using my neighbor's internet for the last year. I just have to stay in one room that faces their house.
There are ways to get things you need, just gotta figure them out.
We have energy assistance in our counties here. Try social services. I know sometimes it's hard to get. Or call Salvation Army or local churches for help. They will come right to your house and have you fill out forms to get the help you need with utilities.
I have been broke off and on a long time. Ask around, there is help, you just have to find the right person to tell you where to go.
Hope this helps.
I know even 70 dollars is hard to come up with sometimes, but it sure helps having tv back. Even to see when a storm is coming. And since I can't afford an active social life, it helps depression. Even got tired of reading books for entertainment.
He definitely needs to be nicer to you and get his act together. I wouldn't take his words seriously. Sounds like he is a hot head and an ignorant jerk.
