I lost my job back in 2012. What's worse, it was in my career field. I have tried strenuously to get back into my field, then later into any job, but to no avail.
The years have put a toll on my finances and my self esteem. I have lost my optimism, my worth and, within a month, my finances.
I need support to get back out there and get almost any employment that'll give me a paycheck at this point. Preferably in microbiology, laboratory or phlebotomy. A job offer that will say yes for a long term will be much needed.

Fortunately, I am getting involved in a new work venture now. It is a start-up and the owner is financing things until it is up and running, so the pay is low for now. I am not thrilled about that, but it should get better in a few months once clients start paying.
Have you been networking?This opportunity came to me via a guy that was an old work contact that has since hired me for freelance work. It was never that much work, but I always did my best effort and kept in touch with him. That is why he now wants me involved in this new business.
I think you just have to keep trying, even if it is discouraging at times. If it gets to be too much, give yourself a mental health break, take a little time away and do something you enjoy before getting back into it.
