..and a cruel one at that ,,,two people,,,, one with a lot of experience and a looking at a limited period of being employed with any firm,,and expecting a salary to be commenserate with their past experience and abilities,,,vs ..someone with somewhat limited experience at the other end of their employment career and has no expectations with regard to compensation,,that will be easier to insure and less of a burden generally,,,that has to prove their capability in the workplace by there lack of experience.
I think that I am actually understating the problem,,,I am not blaming the employer who has to choose ,,,I am just posing the question,,,
The more typical situation is the company that fires someone due to advanced age and advanced compensation without cause that can NEVER EVER BE PROVEN EVEN IN COURT,,,and who would want to return to a company after you have been labeled a troublemaker and damaged goods,
Put the two scenarios together and that is what the private sector has degenerated to.
Am I crazy,,,I don't think so,,,

It's impossible to legalize an ideal (age discrimination law)
And in some cases hiring the younger one at a much "younger" salary can cause plane crashes. : )
Don't they know that alot of times older people not only have more experience but they don't have the problems of child care, or like the younger ones who seem to call in sick for any reason not to work, but they will get the job first. Not fair, but it happens.
