Preterm Labor or Braxton Hicks??

Hey Ladies, last night I thought I was having contractions. They were not all that bad but sharp menstrual like cramps that would last for about 10 maybe 15 seconds each. I didn't really keep track of how long in between I was having them. At first I thought nothing of it as with a multiple pregnancy you often experience cramps of some kind due to the uterus stretching so fast. It last for more than an hour, I am 18weeks and will be 19 on Friday. I see my OB on Thursday and plan on asking him about it. Has anybody experienced this so early in pregnancy and what did your Dr tell you?

I had Braxton Hicks with my daughter in the 8th and 9th month..and it felt like my whole uterus just tightened up and got hard...it would do this often and it scared me. But i never felt the sharp pains or cramps. I think they will tell you it's normal though because if it were labor - it wouldn't stop right? Just a thought.

Hey Amanda I asked my OB about this as well. Ive had it where Ive had cramps all day. He said its normal with a multiple pregnancy. The cramps vary from being sharp to just dull ache. Im sure everything is ok. Dont worry! :) xoxo

I THINK the difference between actual contractions and Braxton Hicks is the pain. You do feel a tightening with Braxton but not the pain/cramping like regular contractions. Again, I THINK. This is just based on what I remember from a girlfriend who just had a baby and was dealing with Braxton Hicks last month.

I had some pain with tons of tightening. I ended up at the hospital and it turns out to be braxton hicks. With multiples its very common to get them early. Make sure u drink tons of water and lie on your side. As long as u don't have more then 3 in an hour you should be ok but def mention it to your dr and if they come frequently call them sooner.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
