I was planning on using cloth diapers, the kind that have adjustable snaps and disposable inserts, but I'm getting mixed reviews from all the sources I've checked. Has anyone here used cloth diapers with their twins or other multiples? Any advice on what diapers would work best?

no advice but good luck on finding what you need. I always admire parents who can do cloth diapering- sadly for me I didn't have the time nor resources to do that.

I plan to cloth diaper once my boys are born and big enough, so my advice isn't from experience, only from research and others advice!
So far the best advice I've gotten is to not pick a certain kind. Buy a few of each brand and then decide which ones you like best after you've actually tried them.
My thoughts are to use the same ones you are talking about, with the outside shell not connected to the cloth part. Some people like the all in ones where everything is attached in one diaper, but I feel like it would be nice to be able to reuse the outside shell a few times each day instead of having to wash the entire diaper over and over.
So far we have bought the following:
2 Thirsties Duo-Wrap Snap Shells
2 Oh katy shells
6 packages of the white cotton prefolded cloth diapers
Snappi cloth diaper fasteners
Biodegradable disposable liners

Any other suggestions on brands I could try besides Oh Katy and Thristies?

I didn't cloth diaper with my two...it was way way too much to keep up with and since they were preemies I couldn't have fit them into the cloth diapers anyhow. Good luck!

I cloth diaper my girls and use sunbabies and bum Genius pockets. We used all in ones when they were newborns. I never did get into using the prefolds and covers. I bought them but to me they were a hassle. I use the prefolds now as inserts for my pockets and they are great for that. Prefolds and covers are the cheapest way to go and many people love them, just not me. The sunbabies are $5 a dipe and come in cute prints, BG cost more but are trimmer. I think the disposable inserts are just as expensive as regular sposies so I am not sure what the benefit is. If you are washing the cover you might as well wash the inserts too. It is not really that bad. you will be running laundry all the time with two anyway. GL!
