Hello ladies...I am new to this group and was hoping some of you could give me some advice/info/success stories...anything :)
We have a 2 year old son and recently had another ivf cycle and got pregnant. We had our 6 week u/s today and heard 3 heartbeats. I am beyond overwhelmed, nervous, happy...everything at once. We are supposed to go in for another u/s next week and the following just to monitor. The Dr said that alot of times with triplets you can lose a heartbeat or even 2 from one week to the next. He also said that a triplet pregnancy is very high risk and can have alot of complications. This is all very scary and would really appreciate if anyone can give me some info. Do you often lose one or more of the babies? Have you had a successful triplet pregnancy without major complications?

Congrats to you! I am 16 weeks pregnant with triplets and so far am having a very low complicated pregnancy. Of course the risks are always there but I am feeling good and getting bigger. I go in for another ultrasound next week...it's been about a month since I have seen my Trio and hopefully all are okay!

I belong to a Triplet Mommys Group on Facebook if you are interested in joining. They are very very helpful women and I have learned a ton from them! Send me a message if you would like and I will give you the info to the group!

well i had a twin pregnancy and it was stressful bc it was my first and i was scared of having complications. I didnt have any lol i just delivered my girls at 33 weeks...other then that it was a easy pregnancy. I suggest you get the book what to expect when your expecting..although the only have one section about multiple pregnancy its still really helpful =D You are at a high risk but if you dont stress too much and dont move alot i think you'll be fine! I hope you have a stress free pregnancy =D Im here if you want to chat...and also monikat and kminca good luck with yours...multiple pregnancy is hard but its awesome when your babies are out of you! lol

A book I recommend is by Dr Barbara Luke...."When you are expecting twins, triplets or more". It will give you a lot of useful information about carrying more then one in your belly.

I didn't read any of those books but everyone else I knew kept telling me that sleep is very important for everyone so when a friend gave me the book "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy child' I read it. It was a life saver cause it taught me how to get my kids on a similer schedule while still making sure each got the needed sleep. And indeed my kids are pretty happy. Congrats and we're here for you.

Find your local Mothers of Multiples chapter and JOIN! They have been my rock through my Quad pregnancy that became twin pregnancy at 13 weeks. They dont have all the answers, but they sure were a great place to start!

I had a triplet pregnancy that turned into a twin pregnancy at 10 weeks. I remember feeling totally overwhelmed and scared too. My RE and staff were very supportive and informative. I just armed myself with lots of information and gave my worries up to God. Congrats on the pregnancy and I hope all goes well for you.

CONGRATS! I have triplet GGG 15 MONTHS now! Although my pregnancy was not easy I can be done! As a matter of fact one high. Risk doctor I key with said triplets are becoming more common and not as high risk as it use to be, depending I guess on certain things! As long as u have good care, u should be fine! We will have our next u/s on wed. so we'll see whats going on then, I am leaving it in Gods hands and praying that they will be healthy.

JmeP.... :) I am so happy for you and your family. I am a mother of 17 month old triplets. My dr. told me the same thing that yours did and nothing happened thank god. I went to 36 weeks and I am only 5'2" tall so it can be done. My three were never in the NICU they were in my room the day they were born about a hour later. I had no problems at all. Now that said there are things that will happen. You will grow very fast, you will hurt more than with your first, and you will sleep more than with your first. Monica, Jamie and I are all part of a triplet moms group on facebook we would love to have you join. If you do not have a FB page, get one and we can add you. I wish I had that goup when I was pregnant for support.

Hello! I have one year old triplets (2 boys and a girl)! When we first found out that we were pregnant with triplets it's as if it was a terrible thing (how others made us feel). IT CAN BE DONE! I carried until 32 weeks and had 3 healthy babies with no issues accept one had a little bit of torticollis in his neck that was gone by the time he was 9 months. I have a blog that's all about raising triplets that will really help you. If you look on the right side you can click on different topics as well.
