12-14 anything less and you could be in for a big disappointment, even if you are pregnant, you are more likely to get a negative test earlier than that.

I tested 9 DPO and got a BFP but ended in a chemical pregnancy. It's hard but I learnt my lesson to wait next time so I won't be in for a big disappointment but it's up to you. Good luck! =)

Ahhh...trying to wait but its really hard. I don't want to go buy more tests no no no. I've been feeling really tired and sick but I get pretty bad pms symptoms sometimes...I'm hoping this time it won't be! So tired of the disappointment, its been 9 months of hope and disappointment.

May485, I totally understand, i had a chemical pregnancy August 2009. It makes the possibility of getting pregnant again scary but I still hope.

It may not be right. It says to wait till the day of your missed period so if you actually have 14 days between Ovulation and AF then I would try to wait and if I couldnt (which I never can!) I would buy another one to take 14 DPO. Someone actually have to wait a week after that to get a true result.
I would go by the instructions because they all have different sensitivity. And usually if it says that you can take 5 days before the accuracy on that thing is only like 50%. So half will get a right reading and half wont.
What I like to do is to just get 3 tests a month. One for the week before AF is due. One for the week of (a week after the first one) and one for a week after in case I never start.
Honestly it is always a judgement call. But just remember that no matter the reading you have support. Because we have all been there. We have all felt this way at some point or another and you have to wait it out. Keep your stress levels to a minimal and keep communicating.
