Having PCOS has made it very difficult to TTC when I haven't had a regular cycle. Metformin hasn't done anything for me and I decided to try taking Vitex. I started taking this supplement on November 1 and January 1 was blessed by a visit from AF. Well, I was expecting her to show up last weekend and she hasn't yet. But, I have had all kinds of early pregnancy symptoms, which wasn't all that surprising since they're the same ones I usually get with the PCOS and PMS. That being said, a few symptoms I don't normally get have popped into the mix, such as exhaustion and headaches/migraines. I've been charting my BBT since Jan. 26, just to get in the habit for when this cycle started. My temps have been pretty consistent, with the expected drop the day AF was scheduled to arrive followed by a steady increase over the past 5 days. It all seems to add up to the obvious answer, so I thought for sure I would get my BFP when I took a HPT Tuesday night. I didn't. So I thought for sure it would be a BFP in the morning, and it wasn't. But, unlike the other times of disappointing results, my symptoms haven't eased up or gone away. In fact, they're getting more noticeable! It's been driving me nuts! Today I had an appointment with my ob/gyn and she agreed that there is the possibility the HPTs are not getting an accurate reading. So, she's ordered blood work which is also including tests to check on various other things, including insulin and cholesterol levels. Of course, this means I have to wait at least another week before I find out for sure if I've been blessed with my tiny miracle or if my body is holding some sort of grudge against me and my sanity. So please, ladies, wish me luck... on both getting my BFP and holding onto that one last thread of sanity I have remaining!
